GRAPHIC DESIGNER + YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS GRAPHICS GIRLY
I didn't just stumble into design.
The creative bone has always been in my body. It started with ceramics class in elementary school and scrapbooking in middle school, to taking drawing classes at FIT in New York one summer. Even in adulthood, it was paint and sips every Thursday night at a local art studio with my sister. Art in any form has always been a part of who I am.
Then there’s the sports side. I grew up in households where ESPN was on 24/7. In high school, I was the tomboy talking last night's game with friends. And while most girls spent their milestone 16th birthday having huge parties, I was attending my first NBA game at the TD Garden (Go Celtics!). That love for the game followed me into adulthood, where I became the go-to friend for hosting sports parties. I finally found a way to merge that passion with my creativity, and this is where the two worlds collide.
After exploring other creative avenues I’ve always been interested in, I decided to bet on myself and make graphic design a full-time career when life forced a pivot in June 2024. After 11 years, I traded the salon chair for design software, but even today, the goal remains the same: create art.
Awards
Honored center court during a WNBA Connecticut Sun game as Small Business of the Month, recognizing my work as Founder and Designer of Crown Graphics Studio (now Creatively, Imani).
WNBA CT Sun’S Small Business of the Month
August 2025 | Mohegan Sun Arena
I was invited and honored as the WNBA Connecticut Sun’s Small Business of the Month, presented by TD Bank. Receiving center court recognition during a live game with my business featured on arena jumbotrons. Sharing this moment with my family, especially my oldest son, Julius, made it especially meaningful. This recognition stands as the first major milestone of my career and a defining moment that closed my chapter as Crown Graphics Studio ahead of my rebrand.
